As an avid catfisherman, I believe in the catch, photo, and release of catfish to ensure their preservation and conservation. Paylakes often exploit these magnificent creatures by transporting them across state lines, leading to overcrowded conditions that can cause stress and disease among the fish. Also the potential and inevitable death of the fish after the repeated catch and release of upwards of a hundred times in a short period ranging from a couple days to a few weeks. This practice not only endangers the health of catfish populations but also disrupts local ecosystems.

Catfish are a vital part of our waterways, contributing to biodiversity and maintaining ecological balance. When they are removed from their natural habitats for commercial purposes, it undermines conservation efforts and threatens future generations' ability to enjoy fishing and catching large catfish.
