European airlines are creating problems just to sell us the solutions.

Did you know these airlines use algorithms designed to split groups and families across the cabin unless they pay? 

Until a few years ago, passengers booking multiple tickets together were automatically seated next to each other based on their booking order. Today, airlines like Ryanair, EasyJet, Wizz Air, Vueling, and Norwegian Air deliberately separate passengers unless they pay extra to choose their seats.

This practice unfairly exploits travellers, causing unnecessary stress and making journeys more expensive for families and groups.

These policies intentionally create discomfort, pressuring travellers to pay for a basic right that should be included in the ticket price: sitting together.

We call on consumer protection authorities and European legislators to regulate airline seat assignment practices. Passengers booking tickets together should be seated together without additional charges.
