Stop ParkM at Sloan's Lake Apartments

The Issue

What is ParkM?

ParkM is an online parking permit system that management here at Sloan’s Lake Apartments will be implementing on February 9th 2024.

How Does it Affect You?

Management is requiring every vehicle parked anywhere on the property to register online with ParkM.

  • New residents will pay $10 a month
  • Visiting friends and family will pay up to $6 a day
  • Any vehicle parked on the property not registered with ParkM will be towed without warning

Reviews on both Yelp and BBB.org complain that glitches on their website (which supposedly occur frequently) have caused them to have their vehicles towed without any warning and ParkM seemingly does not have a phone number to call if you run into any issues.

Management claims to be doing this to manage the parking lot more closely and to “eliminate unwanted vehicles.” It seems that ParkM is a sneaky way for tow companies to get around Colorado’s recently passed Nonconsensual Tow law: HB22-1314. According to BBB.org, ParkM’s business contact, Tyson Broyles, is also the business contact for a company in Denver named Elite Towing and Recovery. What a coincidence!

What Can You Do?

As a first step, we are asking people to add their signature to a petition that asks management to stop the implementation of ParkM here at Sloan’s Lake Apartments. It will be delivered to management on the eve of ParkM being activated, Thursday February 8th, 2024. You can add your name to the petition.
