STOP STREET PARKING ON OLD NORTH ROAD (from Forest to Blueberry)

As you've likely noticed, in front of 7 Old North Rd, most mornings and some nights, there has been a grey Chevy Silverado parked in the road.

At first, it was parked on the sidewalk. I left a note asking the owner to not obstruct the sidewalk or road, which resulted in her parking it fully in the road. Parked like this, Old North becomes a one lane road. This being near the bend, it's dangerous.

Last night, I had the opportunity to speak with the owner as she was parking the truck. I asked if there was anything I could do to encourage and/or help her park it somewhere that didn't obstruct the road. She immediately became agitated and essentially told me to piss off.

So... I plan to lobby the Town (Internal Traffic Committee) to make this stretch of road (Old North, from Forest to Blueberry) a no parking zone. I'll share this petition with the Committee (they meet next Friday, 8/24).

I hope you'll support this effort to make our road a bit safer. If you need extra parking, you're welcome to use our driveway.
