The Issue

Max is not just a dog; he is family, a source of joy, comfort, and boundless love. He has always been known in our community as the world's sweetest dog, always there to greet you with his wagging tail and gentle eyes.

Unfortunately, a complaint has been filed in Palo Alto, labeling Max as a "Dangerous Dog," a designation that carries the grave consequence of having him put to death. Palo Alto has done nothing to investigate this claim.  Max has never shown aggression or caused harm. Those who know him can attest to his gentle nature and loving personality.

According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, the label "dangerous dog" should only be applied where there is substantial evidence of repeated aggressive behavior, which Max has never displayed. This misunderstanding could cost an innocent life and bring needless sorrow.

Instead of execution, we propose alternatives that could ensure everyone's safety while preserving Max's life. These solutions could include behavioral training, a review of enclosure and fencing, as well as a mandatory period of observation.

This petition is about more than just saving a single dog; it is about fairness, justice, and compassion. Please help us ensure Max gets the chance to live the life he deserves by signing and supporting this petition.
