Living in Finstall is a privilege that comes with the beauty and tranquility of a semi-rural lifestyle. However, this privilege is under threat due to proposed large-scale development plans. These plans not only threaten our way of life but also pose severe risks to the environment and community.

The planned development risks destroying precious Green Belt land, a vital aspect of Finstall's unique landscape, which provides essential benefits such as air quality improvement, climate regulation, and recreation space. Urbanizing this area would not only obliterate these advantages but also endanger native wildlife and demolish natural habitats, crucial for maintaining biodiversity.

Moreover, the proposed 450 dwellings in the area, threatens to double the village's population which would put immense strain on existing local infrastructure, services, and amenities, such as schools, healthcare facilities, and public transport. The potential influx could overwhelm these systems, diminishing the quality of life for all residents.

Traffic congestion is another significant concern. Increased vehicles would lead to heightened road safety issues, potentially endangering pedestrians, including children and elderly residents. The historic Monarch’s Way, a cherished path in our area, faces the risk of alteration or obliteration, undermining its cultural and historical importance.

Maintaining Finstall's semi-rural identity is paramount. The proposed developments threaten to erase this unique charm, replacing it with a nondescript urban landscape.
