With the upcoming NSW elections, can you tweet Chris Minns and Dominic Perrottet, asking them to commit to stop locking up our elderly if they are elected into Government? Let's make sure they know how important this issue is to all of us!

I have received a response from the Office of Allegra Spender MP, Member for Wentworth. In her response, she highlights the guidelines issued by the Department of Health and Aged Care on February 17, 2023. These guidelines emphasise a risk-based, proportionate, and human rights-focused approach to COVID precautions, ensuring that our elderly are treated with the dignity and care they deserve.

In light of these guidelines, I contacted the CEO of Montefiore Care Homes to inquire about the ongoing lockdowns for the elderly. The CEO responded, insisting that these measures are still necessary to protect the residents. Clearly, as my mother has been locked up again, this needs to be addressed at a higher level!
