For those that don't know Julie's story, she was at a high kill animal shelter in OKC, Oklahoma City Animal Welfare. She was full term pregnant when they walked her down the hall and spayed her,  killing all her babies. We had sent the tag to take her in our care. They also told us a different pregnant dog (who we also tagged) was spayed, not her. When we picked them up we found out they had goofed up the tags and spayed Julie and not the other oup (Merrill) when we had a foster home for both and planned to save all the babies and the mamas  

When we spoke out against it, someone from their shelter screenshot our main page post comments and joined our private volunteer group and screenshot the original post saying the shelter was heartless and sent to their shelter coordinator Jon Gary who sent us a very unkind email banning Always & Furever from pulling and saving any animal from their facility after we had saved just under 200 animals in the 3 years we had pulled from them. 

They would rather limit and monitor social media then help save lives. They would rather hide the truth, threaten to ban rescues with a shelter agreement that doesn't allow them to say any negative comments about the shelter and if they do speak out  they can no longer save lives of THEIR cities animals. 

My question to you OKC is WHAT IS GOING ON BEHIND CLOSED DOORS that they you need to ban rescues from posting? Why a "secret" FB page no one is allowed to share?  This is YOUR tax funded money OKLAHOMA CITY RESIDENTS. Read the reviews online. Talk to those who have adopted. Talk to rescues who crush themselves daily to help. Time to speak up is NOW. It is NOT ok to silence rescues and it is NOT ok when it is funded by taxes and donations to EVER hide the truth. 

There is more to this story. So much more which we plan to share EVERY single story of the animals we pulled that had URIs and a shelter that is now know for URIs, a dog that was left with rubberband tied on her ear their vet knew and noted and didn't remove and her ear estentially died when we got her, we pulled a dog they stated in their own post was chewing off his own leg, newborn infants sick and dying we fought to save, continually giving the run around as to when we could pick up then to be told one had parvo so they killed the whole litter. Another dog with literally a gaping hole in his side who sat there for days with minimal medical care all these stories of animals that just sit there while they wait to be saved or killed. We will share every single soul we saved and lost until something changes. 

This is a TAXpayer funded 501c3 shelter in OKC. They need to do better. 

I am not saying there aren't good people there. I'm saying the city of Oklahoma who provides millions of dollars to fund this shelter needs to DEMAND this shelter does better. Puppies left in kennels after they passed, sitting feces. 

It doesn't matter that it's Oklahoma City. These are ALL God's animals and we have to speak up. We will not be silenced.

Write to the mayor. Call the news. Write to the shelter. Please. We beg you. Do something....

Animals are not only dying but suffering if we don't.
