Thousands of South African students funded by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) are currently facing abrupt funding terminations and indefinite delays due to the N+ rule and unresolved 'gap investigation' cases. The N+ rule, intended to regulate the maximum duration for which a student can receive funding, has unfortunately become a source of distress for many.
