It's undeniable that the Nighthawk Energy Storage Project Poway CA will impact our Community. From the project website:

"Battery storage devices do not generate any air emissions or harmful radiation and involve little to no fire risk when properly designed, installed, tested and operated. The battery storage systems contain protection and control features, including a battery management system that shuts down when operational environments are anything less than optimal. The Nighthawk project will use Tesla Megapack battery technology, which has an industry-leading safety record."

But if not designed, installed, tested and most importantly properly operated, then what? Can we expect harmful air emissions, radiation and increased fire risk? The correct answer is "only time will tell."

If we allow this project to move forward, we can expect the installation of a high-power connection under the Stonebridge Parkway, a very visible eye-sore to our north and an increased risk of fire which, if that were to happen, would impact our lives and our property values in a manner which none of us wants to contemplate. We're not against clean energy and change is good but installing this new-technology battery storage facility in our backyard is not. 

The time to voice our concerns and/or opposition to this project is NOW and you can do so by signing this petition.  Our goal is to collect 500 signatures from property owners in the community who oppose this project and then present those signatures to our elected officials and the City of Poway Planning Division.  In order to achieve this goal, we need you to please share this information NOW with your friends and neighbors. Only then will be able to Stop the Nighthawk Energy Storage Project.
