We, the people of Iran and supporters of freedom around the world, are launching this petition with utmost urgency in a moment of an ongoing humanitarian disaster.

At this very moment, the Islamic Republic is committing massacres and killing defenseless people on the streets of Iran. Citizens, young people, women, and even teenagers—are being targeted with military-grade bullets. Hospitals are overflowing with the wounded and the dead. Families are unaware of the fate of their loved ones. The internet has been deliberately cut off to silence the voice of this crime.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump had previously stated that if the Iranian government fired on peaceful protesters and violently suppressed them, the United States would stand with the Iranian people. Today, the same atrocities are unfolding before the eyes of the world, with unprecedented intensity.

However, the news of the Islamic Republic contacting the U.S. government for negotiations is seen by us as granting yet another opportunity to a regime that has ruled over the Iranian people with repression, imprisonment, torture, and massacre for 47 years.

The Islamic Republic is a terrorist regime with a direct role in regional instability and in funding extremist groups. The continued existence of this regime is not only a threat to the Iranian people but a serious danger to global security.

For decades, the Iranian people have stood with empty hands against one of the harshest contemporary regimes, almost entirely without effective external support.

We, the signatories of this petition, declare with one voice

• Diplomatic statements are not enough.
• Expressions of concern are not enough.
• Verbal condemnations are not enough.

We call on the U.S. government and all governments worldwide to:

• Immediately halt all negotiations and normalization of relations with the Islamic Republic.
• Stop the massacre of protesters in Iran, not merely condemn it, but take practical measures.
• Support the Iranian people’s revolution led by Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi.
• Close the embassies of the Islamic Republic.
• Hold the perpetrators of repression and crimes accountable in international forums.

From our perspective, any negotiation with a regime actively massacring innocent people constitutes legitimization of the suppression and indirect support of a terrorist regime.

ما، مردم ایران و حامیان آزادی در سراسر جهان، این پتیشن را با نهایت فوریت و در شرایطی منتشر می‌کنیم که یک فاجعهٔ انسانی در جریان است.

در همین لحظه، جمهوری اسلامی در خیابان‌های ایران دست به قتل‌عام و کشتار مردم بی‌دفاع زده است. شهروندان، جوانان، زنان و حتی نوجوانان با گلوله‌های جنگی هدف قرار می‌گیرند. بیمارستان‌ها مملو از مجروحان و کشته‌شدگان است. خانواده‌ها از سرنوشت عزیزان خود بی‌خبرند. اینترنت عمداً قطع شده تا صدای این جنایت خاموش بماند.

دونالد ترامپ پیش‌تر اعلام کرده بود که اگر حکومت ایران به معترضان مسالمت‌آمیز شلیک کند و آنان را به شکل خشونت‌آمیز سرکوب نماید، ایالات متحده در کنار مردم ایران خواهد ایستاد. امروز، همان جنایات با شدتی بی‌سابقه در برابر چشم جهانیان در حال وقوع است.

با این حال، انتشار خبر تماس جمهوری اسلامی برای مذاکره با دولت آمریکا، از نگاه ما به‌منزلهٔ دادن فرصتی دوباره به رژیمی است که ۴۷ سال است با سرکوب، زندان، شکنجه و کشتار بر مردم ایران حکومت کرده است.

جمهوری اسلامی یک حکومت تروریستی است که نقش مستقیم در بی‌ثباتی منطقه و تأمین مالی گروه‌های افراطی دارد. ادامهٔ حیات این رژیم نه‌تنها تهدیدی برای مردم ایران، بلکه خطری جدی برای امنیت جهانی است.

مردم ایران طی دهه‌ها، تقریباً بدون هیچ حمایت مؤثر خارجی، با دستان خالی در برابر یکی از خشن‌ترین حکومت‌های معاصر ایستاده‌اند.

ما، امضاکنندگان این پتیشن، با صدایی واحد اعلام می‌کنیم:

• بیانیه‌های دیپلماتیک کافی نیست.
• ابراز نگرانی کافی نیست.
• محکوم‌کردن لفظی کافی نیست.

ما از دولت ایالات متحده و همه دولت‌های جهان می‌خواهیم:

• هرگونه مذاکره و عادی‌سازی روابط با جمهوری اسلامی را فوراً متوقف کنند.
• کشتار معترضان در ایران را نه فقط محکوم، بلکه با اقدامات عملی متوقف سازند
• از انقلاب مردم ایران به رهبری شاهزاده رضا پهلوی حمایت کنند.
• سفارتخانه‌های جمهوری اسلامی را تعطیل کنند.
• عاملان سرکوب و جنایت را در مجامع بین‌المللی پاسخگو کنند.

از نظر ما، هرگونه مذاکره با حکومتی که در حال قتل‌عام مردم بی‌گناه است، به معنای مشروعیت‌بخشی به سرکوب و حمایت غیرمستقیم از یک رژیم تروریستی خواهد بود.
