London . First an " inmate" housed inside the Franklin County Dog Shelter . Then on "Death Row . " For reasons so ludicrous as to be beyond logic and reason . London entered the FCDS as Animal ID: 115500. Because she was showing signs and symptoms of fear, she was not placed on the adoption floor. In a noisy, stressful environment , she presented as not willing to take treats, and whale eyed, and was deemed a "Bite risk in this environment , and Rescue Only, Must Kill List." Let that sink in for a moment . She felt afraid and scared inside a noisy dog shelter , and reacted fearful . Let's put you in her paws for a moment. You are pulled over for a traffic violation , no ID or Drivers license . They put you into the County jail, smells, sounds, shouting, crying, yelling, you feel afraid. Because , you are not "adjusting to being jailed" they remove you from the General population . Where some one could say, post bail, (or adopt you out.) Now, you are moved to the Segregation Area, the behavioral assessment is done. Where? In the yard? Inside the scary environment ? How long? Etc... Now the Franklin County Dog Shelter , puts you on death row. Because you behave so fearful of your environment . The clock is ticking. A Approved Rescue must COMMITTED to you, and then you can get spayed, license, and vaccines . And get removed by this Approved Rescue . London got lucky. On 3/8/2018. A Rescue group Committed to her, pulled her, and placed the 40 pound female Pit Bull mix, only 4 years old and healthy if undernourished , dog is now in a quiet safe, pre-approved Foster home. Just 24 hours . With a Foster and a Rescue . A healthy dog does not end up dead, cold in a body bag.
