STOP NC House Bill 765 and Keep Local Zoning Decisions Local 

NC House Bill 765 (The Zenger Bill) would take planning and zoning decisions away from local cities and towns and gives it to developers.

HB 765 

• Cripples the powers of municipal governments
• Cancels the voices of voters
• Erases local control
• Empowers developers to dictate land-use policy
• Punishes public servants for speaking on behalf of their constituents

This bill is co-sponsored by NC State Representative Jeff Zenger, who also happens to be both a contractor and developer. Rep. Zenger has received thousands of dollars in donations from home-builders and realtors associations.
