Please beware of individuals representing Facebook objection groups, who are clearly siding with the Cenin Solar Farm developer.

Hi Everyone,

I bring you attention to a document dated 2025-04-09 Rep S2 uploaded to the PEDW casework website on 10/04/2025 Page 20   https://planningcasework.service.gov.wales/searchresults?q=CAS-02446-R8X8W2

The document is referencing the Cenin solar Farm peat probing report. On the surface it objects to the lack of accuracy of the report but if you read the details it requests a site visit from the developer as a matter of urgency. It goes on to encourage a cable route is chosen following the existing tracks and paths, even offering to accompany anyone from the developer who wishes to visit the area. This is concerning?

At no point does it request to stop this Solar development altogether? Rather suggests repositioning of the proposed cable route. Which implies as long as its repositioned the development is OK.

This in turn would bypass the public and indirectly gives the go ahead to the RES 13 wind turbine development as the Cenin Solar Farm cable needs to connect to the HUGE ( as yet unbuilt ) substation in the RES  plans - which of course is situated in a large area of the mountain peat.

I am sure Cenin and PEDW love people who say they are representing a group like this as it makes their jobs much easier.

But this is not representing my voice or feelings and I know many of the people in this Facebook group are also adamantly opposed to any developements on or around our mountain area. 

A few 'selected people' have been invited by PEDW for talks about these developents. These can be viewed live by the public if you request it from PEDW but they are generally held when poeple are busy in work and to keep up with all ot them would be difficult. If they were transparent they would upload zoom links to the casework website with recordings for the public to view at their leisure. But as it stands most of the general public are in the dark about what is actually being said.

I know all of you that have signed this petition have genuine intentions of saving our mountain. I have read many detailed objections to these developments on the PEDW casework website by some really clever people who raise some important points. 

Just beware of letting other people represent you, who's intentions may be different to your own, or paying so called 'specialists' because if its going to end up in behind the scenes talks out of public view or like the document in question, a group representation, it may come down to negotiation rather than stopping these developments. These developments are about money so not everyone may be genuine.
