100 Signatures And Please Share for More

Today we have reached 100 Signatures supporting our really important petition and campaign to save our neighbourhood, thank you so much to everyone for your support but, please keep sharing and the petition and let's hope for 200 signatures! 

Some more updates on the impacts from the proposed development:

• Calculations estimate that the Customer, Staff, Services and Operations required for this development will result in an estimated approx 1000 additional Car trips in the local streets (including past the Primary School) on a daily basis;
• The proposed development will remove the only 3 Car Spaces on Dandenong Road that are not Residential Permit parking, removing vital car parking resources that are needed for Residents visitors, the Child Care Centre and the Accountant offices next door;
• The proposed Retail Building and the Apartment Building will each involve 3 Levels of basement excavations for the construction work, these excavations are expected to result in more than 2000 Heavy Truck trips through the local streets for approx more than 6 months to excavate and remove the soil; and
• Less than 5 Years after the Government spent more than $1.6 Billion on Sky Rail for raising Murrumbeena Train Station to fix the traffic jams caused by the rail crossing on Murrumbeena Road, this proposed development will bring back more traffic grid lock and congestion on Murrumbeena Road than has ever occurred before (and impacting directly into all surrounding streets).
