Since February 2025, the Munsee-Delaware Nation has entered a LONG TERM boil water advisory. Although they were already boiling their water, now they don't have the hope of soon getting safe water from their taps. Having unsafe water can affect people by having the poisoning in their DNA, slowly or rapidly hurting them. This is especially bad for expecting mothers as this will turn into an hereditary thing. If we don't act now, more and more advisories will turn from short to long term and the government will keep overlooking these issues at Indigenous peoples reserves.
