The issue

This petition is to show the NZ government we've had enough of our ACC levies going up. We already pay a premium on ACC levies and want car drivers to share the load as they are the leading problem and cause the majority of road motorcycle accidents.

The government proposed our ACC levies go up over the next few years and we'll end by paying another $400 a year.

We believe that if ACC need more revenue,  this could be a viable option:

There are 81,067 motorcycles registered in NZ so $400 on each bike would generate $32,426,800. But if cars were to share the load at $100 per year; There are 2,977,787  cars registered in NZ so the revenue that could be raised would be $297,778,700 . That's an 817% increase rather than just charging bikes.
