The Issue

In December 2025, my partner Emmanuelle and I traveled from Switzerland to Cape Town to enjoy the sun during the Christmas holidays. Emmanuelle's sister who I never met requested her to house-sit, but due to her fears of their mother, who had been institutionalized in the past, she asked me to accompany her. During our stay, in a deeply unfortunate incident, we were assaulted by Emmanuelle’s mother. To protect ourselves and contain the situation, we took necessary actions.

Tragically, this event spiraled out of control. Emmanuelle's sister wrongfully accused us of assault and subsequently filed charges. We were arrested, and before we knew it, found ourselves in an awaiting-trial jail, a place no innocent person should ever have to experience.

In the aftermath, the situation worsened when Emmanuelle's sister connected with an ex partner a creator of a cyber harassment website. This platform has been misused to spread harmful lies and untruths about me as an ex partner, damaging our reputations, family ties, and even our business. This has evolved into using this CHANGE platform to deny me bail.

These unfounded allegations propagated online not only harm individual reputations but also encourage a culture of online bullying and harassment. Such misuse of platforms can have devastating, real-world impacts, affecting personal lives and professional reputations.

We need Change.org to acknowledge and take serious actions against users who weaponize its platform to spread hate and misinformation. We urge Change.org to implement stricter monitoring and regulations to prevent the abuse of its services.

By signing this petition, we can urge Change.org and similar platforms to foster a more respectful, truth-centered online community. Together, let's call for the accountability needed to prevent the malicious spread of falsehoods. Stand with us to protect individuals from becoming victims of online harassment and false accusations. Sign this petition now and help us make a difference.
