The Issue

Living in Millcreek, we've been witnessing firsthand how our community's pressing needs are overlooked. Taxes are high, yet, the roads tell a different story. Community parks, which should be spaces fostering recreation and togetherness, are left wanting attention and improvements that never come.

Now, the Millcreek supervisors are contemplating buying the Shrine building to convert it into a new community center. While the idea of a community center is noble, it's crucial that we pause and evaluate whether this is the best and most needed use of our resources, especially when existing public amenities are neglected.

Instead of venturing into costly new projects, investing in our current infrastructure should take precedence. By directing funds towards enhancing and maintaining our roads and parks, we can start to create a safer, more appealing environment for every resident.

Moreover, we need transparency and accountability in how decisions affecting our taxes and community resources are made. Before committing to this purchase, the Millcreek supervisors should consult the community and prioritize urgent issues that are already at hand.

Help us urge Millcreek supervisors to reconsider this purchase and realign their focus towards the immediate needs of our community. Please sign this petition to have your voice heard and to invest in the community priorities that matter most.
