Afternoon all,
30 Second check: Check if you're eligible to join the 1.5 million people claiming compensation from High Court cases
So, I've been doing more research into the Dieselgate scandal. I know this came out in 2015, but there have been dozens of reports in the last 12 months that highlight the full scale of the damage and the cost. Check out the petition, I discuss how it's costing over ONE TRILLION EUROS in damages across Europe and the UK alone.
America, Canada, Australia, Germany and South Korea have already taken action against the manufacturers that cheated the diesel emissions tests, forcing them to pay for retrofitted hardware on diesel cars, give compensation to affected customers and to pay into funds that support green initiatives. But the UK Government hasn't done a thing yet!
This petition is calling on Keir Starmer to accelerate government investigations, force manufacturers to recall cars that were fitted with cheat devices, pay consumer compensation and pay for the environemntal damage they've caused.
This particularly frustrates me because around 45% of our annual energy bill is being spent on green levies, trying to improve the enviroment, thats hundres of billions of pounds a year, but these cars have been on the streets since as early as 2008 and they're emitting illegally high levels of NOx into the atmosphere. And the manufacturers, they've made insane profits off of these cars by cheaping out and using cheat devices instead of actually making them environmentally sound. They're spitting in the face of every person in the UK, and I'm mad.
So, please, sign the petition and share it around online, the manufacturers need to pay for the damage they've caused to customer finances, the economy, and the environment.
Also, I've included a link to check if you're eligible to join one the 1.5 million people that are claiming against these manufacturers, it takes about 30 seconds to check, just need to enter your reg and give a few details for the lawyers to contact you, give it a look.
Thanks all,
