My friends and thousands of accounts are disappearing, with all our photos, posts, videos, and pictures just vanishing! Even major businesses aren't safe from this madness. We need justice! Instagram's AI, under Meta's guidance, has been erroneously banning scores of innocent users. For many of us, these platforms are our lives—our digital history, our connection to friends and family, and for businesses, a crucial marketing tool. 

But what's happening? Instagram’s automated moderation system is flagging and banning accounts without comprehensive validation. Businesses, content creators, influencers, and everyday users are falling victim to this flawed system. We pour our time, effort, and emotions into building our communities and sharing our stories, only to be cast aside by an arbitrary AI decision, with little to no recourse or proper appeals process.

Consider this: The Guardian reported in 2022 that Instagram had over 2 billion monthly active users. Even if 0.5% of these accounts were wrongly banned, that's a staggering 10 million people affected! Imagine the damage, not only in terms of personal loss but also the economic impact. For small businesses relying on Instagram for sales, this can mean shuttering doors, laying off employees, and a downhill spiral of financial despair.

What can Meta do? It's simple: 
1. Revamp their moderation system to involve more human oversight.
