STOP Meta Censorship of The Dope Dealer & Psychedelic Thinkers!
The Issue
Sheldon Norberg, aka the DOPE DEALER, has dedicated much of his life to the discussions of drug education, harm reduction, responsible use, and cognitive liberty. His book, "Confessions of a Dope Dealer" is an insightful memoir, which, like his solo-performance, received great reviews and sparked valuable conversations on the ways we use drugs, and how we might obtain better results.
Yet, in a world that is openly discussing the benefits of psychedelic therapy, and the Matthew Perry size risks, Sheldon finds his influential voice muffled by censorship on major social media platforms such as Meta. This comes as he is actively creating, "Dope Dealer: A Matter of Dosage", a DoseUmentary film which aims to further inform the conversation regarding these relevant issues. At the same time, other groups advancing the conversation around non-addictive, brain restorative treatments, such as micro-dosing, are also being censored.
It's widely acknowledged that social media platforms have an unmatched power in shaping our perceptions. While 100's of accounts openly sell drugs within meta, robotically censoring voices such as Sheldon's squelches necessary dialogue and impedes progress. The American Civil Liberties Union has often argued against social media censorship, an assault on citizens' essential right to free speech.
In this transformative era of acceptance of the therapeutic potentials of non-pharmaceutical mind medicines, it's more important than ever to hear alternative perspectives. We call on Meta and other social media platforms to stop censoring The Dope Dealer and allow for diverse opinions on their platforms. By signing this petition, you are standing up for freedom of speech, cognitive liberty, harm reduction, and a more informed society. Please sign the petition and let the Dope Dealer speak!
