The Issue

Areas impacted:   Chestnut Street Ext., Old Greensboro Road, Willow Creek Community, W. Lexington Ave., High Point NC

Our quiet rural neighborhood has long been a sanctuary characterized by peace, privacy, and a close-knit community vibe. Recently, this has been threatened by a proposed men's drinking and social club that could rapidly change the landscape we love and cherish.

There are several significant concerns. The most pressing issue is the probability of unlicensed and unsupervised alcohol consumption, which raises alarms about safety and wellbeing. These types of clubs almost inherently cause a spike in noise levels, vandalism, and even incidents of drunk-driving, endangering not just participants but innocent residents.

Furthermore, these gatherings attract larger crowds, leading to traffic congestion and increased vehicular presence.

There is also the worry about our property values plummeting. A close-knit community that's recognized for recurring rowdy events can deter potential buyers, affecting all of our investments.

It's time to take action. We urge our local authorities to step in and preserve the sanctity and safety of our neighborhood.

By signing this petition, you join us in demanding necessary intervention to maintain the integrity and safety of our community. Anyone can sign now to be a united voice against the encroachment of disruptive activities. Let's protect our neighborhood together.

Please join us for an appeal meeting on Thursday, July 16 at 6pm. Let your voice be heard!
Location: Davidson County Building, 913 Greensboro St., Lexington, NC at the Community Meeting Center- 4th floor.
