Stop Mass Starvation in Gaza — A Gandhian Call from Indians
The Issue
We are deeply disturbed by the happenings in Gaza. Millions are trapped without food, clean water, or medical aid. Children are dying — not because the world has no food, but because food is being deliberately blocked. This is not a natural tragedy; it is a man-made humanitarian crisis.
We believe starvation must never be used as a weapon of war.
As citizens of India, the land of Mahatma Gandhi, and people of Indian origin, we choose to raise our voice through non-violent means. We appeal to the conscience of the world: Stop the mass starvation in Gaza. Open the way for food and medical aid.
On 15 August 2025, India’s Independence Day, we will observe a fast as a symbolic act of solidarity with the people of Gaza. Fasting is our way of expressing grief, protest, and moral resistance. You may join us in fasting, in your capacity, or simply by signing this petition to demand urgent action. We shall strengthen our freedom by caring for the freedom of the masses on the brink.

We call upon the United Nations Secretary-General and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs to:
1. Establish immediate humanitarian corridors for unrestricted food and medical aid into Gaza.
2. Deploy independent monitoring to ensure aid reaches civilians.
3. Publicly condemn the use of starvation as a weapon of war.
4. Accelerate the peace process to end the war.
By signing, you join a non-violent movement to demand that the world protect the most basic human right — the right to food and life.
As Gandhi said:
“In a gentle way, you can shake the world.”
