Give a dog a bad name and hang him too is what literally happened in Kottayam district of Kerala recently where a canine, accused of attacking people, was beaten to death and then publicly strung up.

This type of behaviour isn't apt for humans, especially on the basis of rumours. Street dogs are generally not aggressive until and unless provoked. While we aren't blaming any Humans or kids, a more humane and violence-free approach can definitely be taken.
