2.  In its DEA public comment, respected environmental protection group, Hawaii's Thousand Friends, called for an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Manoa Banyan Court project.

3.  A BIG MAHALO to STATE SENATOR CAROL FUKUNAGA who's been working hard on behalf of the Manoa community:

   Senator Fukunaga submitted public comment on Manoa Banyan Court.

   Senator Fukunaga also introduced legislation that curtail 201H-38 exemptions sought by LYCA for its Manoa Banyan Court development.

• SB 643 mandates an EIS requirement for 201H projects on preservation lands.  SB 644 disqualifies preservation lands from being used for Section 201H-38, HRS affordable housing projects.
