Stop Mandatory Face Masks In Public

Stop Mandatory Face Masks In Public

The Issue

We want to have the ability to shop in stores without having to worry about mask requirements.

Many people have medical conditions. Even with medical conditions, doctors notes, an inhaler, or other evidence, we are cursed at by store employees. Many of us have been physically assaulted, had the police called on us, and mocked in front of hundreds of patrons.

Other patrons have autism and cannot wear a mask, or other issues such as claustrophobia or hypercapnia. Regardless of the issue, it is against the American Disabilities Act & HIPAA laws to refuse service. Several companies claim they do not have to abide by ADA or HIPAA because they are a business. That is 100% FALSE.

We also call corporate locations and report this. The stores tell us it is the store rights. They CAN do this if they feel it is appropriate. Since when is it appropriate business to mock customer with medical conditions or valid reasons to not wear a mask, call police, and physically assault people?

We strongly feel as the employees at the door surveilling the public have gone way overboard on their abuse of power. When this pandemic is over, your customers will remember that one employee that called patrons vulgar names too strong to use in this discussion. This overreach helps no one, and at the end of the day, why would a business choose to give money to corporations who treat them like scumbags?

We are not asking for any extra rights. We are simply asking to be treated like normal customers. Business are closing every single day - mostly due to lack of funding. Why alienate millions of Americans who refuse to shop at places ever again - over not wearing a mask?
