We need to stop all these big corporations from making books into TV series and movies. We were liars, Binding 13, Icebreaker, Twisted Series and many others but now Shatter me. We need to protect our books. Although it would be great for books to have adaptations so we can see our characters on screen, the casting will never be good enough which is nothing against the actors, it’s just a fact. The stories always get changed in some way, not staying exactly as written in the book, which disturbs me. But most of all, movies and shows will never fully encase what books do. In books, you have the characters’ inner monologues, their thoughts. You get to know their every inner thought for every situation lived through, you get to understand the depth of their feelings with this, something a movie or show will never capture. This needs to stop. These companies are money hungry and that’s it. They don’t care for the attachments and love we have to the story, plot, characters and whatnot. They want money. Sign the petition to put a stop to this.
