Friends and Neighbors in Hanover:

The timeline has shifted, and our strategy must shift with it. Because Luck Stone has failed to provide necessary updates and technical data—including the critical traffic study—the schedule has been pushed back.

The New "Earliest" Timeline:

Planning Commission Meeting: Thursday, May 21, 2026
Board of Supervisors Vote: Wednesday, June 24, 2026

THE ISSUE:  INDEFINITE DELAYS

Luck Stone has let this process drag on for nearly a year without providing substantive answers. They will now likely seek a deferral from the Planning Director (Jo Ann Hunter) to keep their application alive. We cannot allow them to "freeze the clock" while withholding information. Silence and delays are tactical—they are betting that you will get tired and stop paying attention.

YOUR ACTION ITEMS:

1. Mark Your Calendars: We need a full room on May 21st and June 24th. Physical presence is the only way to ensure the Board hears us.

2. Email & Call the Supervisors TODAY: We are asking the County to stop facilitating these indefinite delays. Use the template below to demand a "drop dead date" for Luck Stone’s submissions.

Subject: Objection to Indefinite Deferrals - Luck Stone Application

Dear Members of the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors,

I am writing to formally express my objection regarding the ongoing delays and the potential for an indefinite deferral of the Luck Stone application. I request that this correspondence be included in the official administrative record for this case.

It has been 10 months since the initial filing, yet Luck Stone has failed to provide substantive answers or the necessary technical documentation, specifically the inadequate traffic study. These repeated delays appear to be a tactical maneuver to exhaust public resistance and bypass transparency.

I respectfully request that the Planning Commission and the Planning Director:

Require a "Date Certain": Establish a firm, non-negotiable deadline for all outstanding submissions.
Limit Deferrals: Refuse any further deferral requests unless the delay is outside the applicant’s control.
Ensure Public Review Time: Guarantee the public a minimum of 30 days to review the traffic study once submitted before any hearing occurs.

Will you provide the Planning Director with clear guidance to stop these indefinite delays and move this case to a vote?

Sincerely,

[Your Name] [Your Address]
