If Luck Stone returns updates to their application, The Hanover County Board of Supervisors will vote on the LUCK STONE QUARRY on May 27, 2026.  (Luck Stone has not provided answers to questions raised by residents and by Hanover County, and the process has stretched close to a year. Long, drawn-out timelines wear people down. They reduce attention and lower turnout. That makes it easier for decisions to move forward without full public scrutiny.)

Once again, a critical milestone in this process will be scheduled during a major holiday week. When public meetings fall on Memorial Day week, attendance usually drops—and when attendance drops, our collective voice is weakened. Silence is counted as consent.  

We are asking every neighbor to prioritize this one evening. Whether you are concerned about your property values, well water, air quality, family health or the safety of our roads, your physical presence is the only way to ensure the Board hears us.
