Stop LSAC's predatory fees
Stop LSAC's predatory fees
The Issue
The Law School Admission Council, a for-profit organization administering the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) has made it mandatory that you pay for each score release to any law school you apply.
At a time of heightened inflation and rising cost of living, this fee hits hard students and anyone who is applying for admission to law school. This fee is exploitative and abusive at best, and is a major barrier for many who cannot afford it.
LSAC maintains a monopoly in not only administering the test, but also the score releases, thereby leaving people with no option but to pay the exorbitant $47USD release fee, per score release, per law school application.
THE SOLUTION
Either LSAC charges one score release fee to then send it to all law schools; or to give individuals the ability to go to their JD account via Lawhub and approve the score release process without paying anything.
All Canadian provincial university application portals must also request an individual score release and then subsequently distribute and dispense the LSAT scores to the law schools that belong to their mandate/portfolio.
