Email Subject: Stop excessive airplane noise over our homes!

Dear mayoral candidates,

For over a week now, our communities have had excessive low-flying airplane noise dumped over our homes.

Every single day. Every two minutes. For hours on end.

We can no longer enjoy our backyards, have conversations without interruptions, or get a good night’s sleep.

In short, this has severely impacted our quality of life.

The airport made several changes that put more low-flying aircraft over our homes, particularly in 2012 and more recently in 2022.

Despite attending countless public meetings, the airport refuses to say when we’ll get relief.

We are out of patience, and we want action now.

If elected, how will you stand up to protect our quality of life, and give us relief from the noise we have to deal with every day?

I understand this is federal jurisdiction, but we need collaboration with municipalities, the feds, and airport officials to apply pressure so changes are finally made.

Over 1700+ residents signed a petition demanding more action be taken.

This is a major issue that will decide who I vote for, and this is something I want the candidates to talk more about.
