Do you still hear the noise - modified mufflers, motorcycles, revving engines, ATV's. Yes, the noise is still out there - waking you up at night if you can get to sleep at all.

Great strides were made this summer preparing for the next legislative session beginning in January. Things get very busy during this time which is only 40 days. We have incorporated. Our legal name is Stop Loud Vehicles, Inc. Our application for a 501(c)(3) classification with the IRS is pending.

This past summer we met with several legislators and other centers of influence who gave us some excellent advice.

This is an election year so we can only hope our supporters get reelected. We are supporting those. But it is most important you VOTE! After the election, we will begin our focus to get a bill written using the bill from last year as a model.

We still need your help. There are tasks such as updating our efforts on a database, so we know where we are. That can be done at home in your own time. We need a Facebook page. Can you do that?

Can you schedule a speaking opportunity with civic clubs, churches, homeowner's associations, retirement homes, a lunch and learn at your office. Do you know any state legislators you can introduce us to? Can you post our flyer on a bulletin board in your office, your church? Can you distribute flyers to places of business visit? Will you make a few calls to legislators?

Complete the data survey as often as possible to tell us when and where you hear loud vehicles. It takes less than 30 seconds. Download the decibel meter from the link below. Keep decibel meter open on your phone. When you hear a vehicle note the decibel level and go back later to complete the survey. Do this as often as you can. We need this data!!

Please:

  • Volunteer.
  • Circulate this petition - we need signatures from anywhere in Georgia.
  • Call and email your legislators. Do this frequently!!!
  • Arrange speaking engagements.
  • Complete the data survey - we need the data.
  • Do the data survey-we need the data.
  • Print the flyer on our website and distribute it everywhere!
