Students are at a health risk at PSJA Southwest ECHS. Restroom doors are locked for a majority of the day, and staff on occasion only open one restroom for a population of 1,700+ students. It is completely unethical to have students wait to use the restroom and not even inform them of what restrooms are available. This issue has caused incidents of students throwing up on themselves because they couldn't reach an open restroom. Instead of putting so much effort into sweeping kids and locking restrooms, administration should focus on fixing up the school. A restroom stall door has been jamming, causing students to be locked in the stall. In one instance, a female student had gotten stuck in the stall and in an attempt to open it, she tugged on the door which hit her on the head. This resulted in her getting a concussion. PSJA Southwest should get their priorities straight and protect students' health. Please help us spread the message! Protect the Javelinas!
