Multiple students across the country go to school with the norm of leaving behind their phones or having to turn them in. Many would agree with this policy, including students. It has prevented distractions in lectures and improved participation, in some cases, grades too. However, its been taken to a higher extent. Parents of the students that attend Christopher Columbus High School in Pelham Parkway received a notice that they would begin confiscating Air-pod's and Watch's starting March 1st. Although the schools argument lines up, parents have cultivated the concern of being unable to reach their children in case of an emergency. Students safety is and has always been of top priority. Why take the risk now?
