For over 15 years, Lizbeth Muriel has carried out a pattern of fraudulent behavior here in the Rio Grande Valley, targeting small business owners, families, and gaining trust by associating with respected leaders and legitimate organizations in our area.

She runs multiple ongoing schemes, constantly changing tactics to avoid accountability. Most recently, she falsely claimed to run a nonprofit for autistic children AUsomely Autistic, even though she has no 501(c)(3) status. She used this false identity to gain donations, support, and even received an official proclamation from the City of McAllen under false pretenses.

We are calling on RGV elected officials, city leaders, and law enforcement to:

1- Open a formal investigation into Lizbeth Muriel’s actions

2- Revoke any city recognition obtained through misrepresentation

3- Publicly warn residents and small business owners

4- Establish safeguards to prevent this type of deception in our community. 

This is about protecting our community. We must come together to put a stop to this and send a clear message: Our community will not tolerate this kind of manipulation and abuse of trust.
