La causa
"The death of animals on board due to maritime accidents represent a biological bomb and we already know what it can end up with" according to biologists and scientists
Suez Canal's blockage was another type of accident related to the maritime transport! (just see https://www.maritimebulletin.net/2020/12/01/maritime-accidents-monthly-report-november-2020/
Due to that accident, approximately 20 ships with SENTIENT BEINGS have been waiting amid deep suffering (without drinking, eating, walking or lying on for many WEEKS).
Council Directive 98/58/EC lays down the minimum standards for the protection of all farmed animal so WHY haven't EU legislation welfare standards for their transport and conditions stopped this kind of trade until now ? BECAUSE PUBLIC PRESSURE IS NEEDED
WE KNOW about the demand of meat, but IF we STOP radically the trade of LIVE ANIMALS, we avoid any possible contagious in the future (zoonotic diseases), we do it for PUBLIC HEALTH! and of course for the SENTIENT BEINGS.

El bloqueo del Canal de Suez fue otro tipo de ACCIDENTE relacionado con el transporte marítimo!
Debido a ese accidente, aproximadamente 20 BARCOS REPLETOS DE ANIMALES han estado esperando en medio de un profundo sufrimiento (sin beber, comer, caminar o acostarse durante semanas).
La Directiva 98/58/CE del Consejo Europeo establece las normas mínimas para la protección de todos los animales de granja, así que ¿POR QUÉ la legislación de la UE sobre el bienestar de su transporte y sus condiciones no ha detenido este tipo de comercio hasta ahora? PORQUE SE NECESITA DE LA PRESIÓN PÚBLICA!!
SABEMOS de la demanda de carne, pero SI PARAMOS radicalmente el comercio de ANIMALES VIVOS, evitamos cualquier posible contagio en el futuro, lo hacemos por SALUD PÚBLICA! y por supuesto por los ANIMALES.
