President Obama signed the Consumer Review Fairness Act to protect a person's right to share their opinion online about a company. 

Since that time, companies like Toscano Floor Designs have included a gag clause in their consumer contracts advising customers they cannot post anything negative about the company.  

Ratings and reviews of certain companies on websites like Google and Angi (Angie's List) are skewed.  The public is being deceived because people will not be seeing negative reviews of customers who think they don't have the right to share their opinion due to the gag clause and/or legal threats.  

The public must be warned not to be fooled.  Google and Angi must warn the public that companies like Toscano Floor Designs have used gag clauses to keep negative reviews from being posted on the internet and to keep ratings artificially inflated. 

Consumers need to have all the facts before making a decision to use a company. 

Review sites must include a disclaimer similar to the one on Yelp when they have evidence that a company is using a gag clause in their contracts.
