Canadian Food Inspection Agency mandates “lethal sampling” (killing and dissecting) of a certain percentage (about 175 animals) of fish being imported into Canada.  Most are “food” fish, but koi (who can live 200 years) are included.  These World Organization of Animal Health tests are outdated and should be replaced with non lethal humane testing.  And CFIA should stop testing companion animals and aquarium animals, and only test fish who are being killed for food anyway.  https://inspection.canada.ca/animal-health/aquatic-animals/diseases/susceptible-species/eng/1327162574928/1327162766981
