Stop this legalised cruelty

At present it is not against the law for anyone to trim equines feet (horses, donkeys, mules)

We run a donkey rescue, over 70% of donkeys arrive here crippled and deformed due to DIY trimmers (do it yourself trimming) Some cases it takes over a year to put right, by a qualified farrier, some have to be given sleep as their feet are so deformed and have been over a long period of time they cannot be saved  

The Government, needs to close the loophole that allows anyone to trim any equines feet.

 The law needs to be changed to include unqualified trimming of equines feet.

 The law only states it is illegal for anyone who isn't qualified to put a shoe on an equine, they only need to put one nail in a horses foot and they have broken the law.

 Yet equines are being crippled everyday and suffering unnecessary cruelty and suffering because anyone can trim equines feet
