We, the citizens of Mumbai, strongly oppose the installation of 35 LED hoardings along Carter Road Promenade. This project has moved ahead without public consultation and raises serious CRZ, environmental, safety, and aesthetic concerns.
Carter Road is one of Mumbai’s most loved public seafronts — not an advertising corridor. Such installations will damage its natural character, disturb residents, and set a dangerous precedent for commercialisation of public spaces.
We demand immediate stoppage of the ongoing work, full transparency from authorities, and a public consultation before any such decision is taken.
