Stop Leaving Dogs to Die in Hot Cars! 

This is an urgent appeal urging people to stop people leaving dogs in cars. A car can become as hot as an oven, even when the weather doesn't feel that warm. When it's a mild day at just 21 degrees centigrade outside, the car could reach an unbearable 45 degrees within an hour. Even after just a few minutes the temperature can become deadly at 32 degrees. It's very dangerous and will cause the dog suffering, harm, and potential death in a very short space of time. Just two degrees rise in a dog’s body temperature is all it takes for heat stroke to kick in! Dogs can die from heat stroke in as little as fifteen minutes.

The K-9 Angels are asking UK dog lovers to sign this petition asking all supermarkets to be more pro-active and display the K-9 Angels Hot Dogs campaign posters nationwide, warning of the dangers of leaving a dog in a hot car. If we can save just one dog from dying in such a horrific way then this campaign will have been worth it, as dogs literally cook to death in minutes. There is nothing in the shops worth the loss of an animal companion dying in such a brutal and horrendous way. There are sadly still too many fatalities and we want our campaign information to be displayed in all supermarkets making it very clear of the dangers. 

If our campaign information can be displayed for all to see we feel this would save many lives. Never leave your dog in a vehicle. In just 20 minutes, a dog could die in a hot car. Winding a window down is not enough to help your dog stay cool. Rather leave your dog at home in the cool with water than risking their lives and leaving them in a hot car. 

If we could please urge the public to sign the K-9 Angels petition so this important and vital information could be easily accessible and seen in supermarkets nationwide we really feel this could save so many lives.
