The renting marking is becoming extremely competitive, houses to let that day are getting booked out for viewings, and when you have pets it’s becoming even harder to get a viewing, this affects many people, some people can’t have children and find comfort and love from a pet, others may need pets that assist with day to day living needs and others may have a pet as they are lonely. 

This petition is to put an end to landlords been able to ask if you have pets, this information shouldn’t need to be disclosed, you pay a deposit that would go towards any damages when you leave a property, and the tenants themselves can end up leaving the property in disrepair. 

Action needs to be taken now, it’s not going to work landlords not being able to say no to pets, because if the question is asked and they don’t want pets, they are going to choose an application from people who don’t have pets. 

Lets stop landlords being able to discriminate against pet owners.
