Hi I am Hannah Goodhue and I live on Chestnut Rd. On behalf of the Chestnut Rd community I am launching this petition to stop the development of our neighborhood forest. 

The town of Reading, Ma is attempting to develop real estate, and are able to build within 100ft of our neighborhood. This land development will not only destroy the forest and ecosystems, but it will also cause pollution and decrease air quality. The area, once it is constructed, will be very congested. 

As residents of Reading, most of you know that there is already a lot of traffic in the morning around the high school, Coolidge Middle School and Birch Meadow. This land development will add to that traffic and will make morning commutes and school drop offs longer and more challenging. Not only will it cause traffic, it will also make it more unsafe for younger students who commute to these schools, and for younger kids that live in the area.
