Today is Transgender Day of Visibility, but Kirkwood School District continues to erase trans educators from the District.

Yesterday, the educator who was on unpaid leave was officially terminated.
The reasons given for their termination were false.
They were not given due process.
They were simply erased.

The termination meeting took place over zoom. When trying to ask about due process and the false accusations, Dr. Howard Fields refused to answer and ended the call while the educator was speaking, without giving them a chance to advocate for their own humanity.

Trans people cannot be erased. Trans people are human beings.

This educator, all trans educators, and ALL trans people deserve better. 

Kirkwood School District's actions must be made visible.

Our students deserve safe and inclusive schools. They deserve representation. They deserve caring educators. We will continue to speak up and push back against the hateful actions of Kirkwood School District.
