We are asking Hamley Bridge Association and Wakefield Regional Council to stop killing pigeons in Hamley Bridge. 

Hamley Bridge Association with the assistance of Wakefield Regional Council will be taking measures to control pigeons by shooting over the coming weeks. 

The lethal methods are neither Humanely nor effectively. Many pigeons will be killed to solve a temporary solution and their population will be regenerate in a very short time. 

The Bridge is quiet in outback locations and presence of pigeons don't have much impact on locals.

We are asking Hamley Bridge Association and Wakefield Regional Council to stop cruel and inhumane shooting process and instead using non lethal methods such as:

• Install wire mesh around roosting areas.
• Electrical deterrent systems, It’s not designed to hurt or kill Pigeons in any manner. When Pigeons land, it simply sends a slight jolt letting them know this is not an ideal place to land. Since Pigeons communicate and flock together, we trust the message will be well received by the others.
• By investing on birth control product like ovocontrol, Council can drops the pigeon populations humanely and effectively without killing them. For more info, please check evicom.com.au
• We are also offering removing and rehoming baby pigeons of the site.
