Français suivra
The Moroccan Ministry of the Interior is said to have allocated up to MAD 70 million ($7 million) over the past few years to help with vaccination programs and ruled against killing stray dogs in 2019. They have promised to stop culling innocent animals and especially the ones that have been Treated Neutered Vaccinated and Tagged by the various local associations working tirelessly to protect these innocent creatures.
In the capital they have even built a dispensary but it only serves to trap the dogs they catch and let them starve to death. 
During the past month, more and more incidents are being reported of dogs being poisoned in various cities all over Morocco and even house dogs have been killed in the process. 
They are doing so because the touristic season is approaching and they want to give a ''clean'' image of Morocco all while ignoring the locals and even the foreigners following and financially supporting the work of the different animal shelters and associations who are horrified and are desperately trying to prevent this from happening! 
What makes this even more disturbing is that a lot of the killings are taking place during the holy month of Ramadan which is about abstaining from  harm and bad habits and dedicating oneself to becoming a better person. I can't imagine how they can convince themselves that this is ok... 

I'm starting this petition with the hope to send a clear message :
As foreigners, this type of cruelty is deterring us from visiting the country
As locals, we strongly condemn these barbaric acts!!
Stray animals aren't the ones giving a bad image of Morocco but this hypocrisy and this senseless cruelty is!
IT MUST STOP!

Le ministère marocain de l'Intérieur dit avoir alloué jusqu'à 70 millions de MAD (7 millions de dollars) au cours des dernières années pour aider aux programmes de vaccination et s'est prononcé contre le meurtre de chiens errants en 2019. Ils ont promis de cesser d'abattre des animaux innocents et en particulier ceux qui ont été traités stérilisés vaccinés et étiquetés par les différentes associations locales travaillant sans relâche pour protéger ces créatures innocentes.
Dans la capitale, les autorités ont même construit un dispensaire mais il ne sert qu'à piéger les chiens qu'ils attrapent et les laisser mourir de faim.
Au cours du mois dernier, de plus en plus d'incidents ont été signalés concernant des chiens empoisonnés dans diverses villes du Maroc et même des chiens domestiques ont été tués dans ce processus.
Ils le font parce que la saison touristique approche et ils veulent donner une image ''propre'' du Maroc tout en ignorant les locaux et même les étrangers qui suivent et soutiennent le travail des différents refuges et associations pour animaux et qui sont horrifiés et tentent désespérément de empêcher que cela se produise !
Ce qui rend cela encore plus troublant, c'est que de nombreux meurtres ont lieu pendant le mois sacré du Ramadan, qui consiste à s'abstenir de faire du mal et des mauvaises habitudes et à se consacrer à devenir une meilleure personne. Je ne peux pas imaginer comment ils peuvent se convaincre que ceci est correct...

Je lance cette pétition dans l'espoir d'envoyer un message clair :
En tant qu'étrangers, ce type de cruauté nous dissuade de visiter le pays
En tant que locaux, nous condamnons fermement ces actes barbares !!
Ce ne sont pas les animaux errants qui donnent une mauvaise image du Maroc mais cette hypocrisie et cette cruauté insensée oui !
