Stop Japans Release of Radioactive Waste into the Ocean! Boycott Japanese Products

The Issue

English | 中文 Chinese | 한글 Korean

We're deeply concerned about the Japanese government's decision to release over a million tonnes of radioactive waste into our oceans, this started on August 24th 2023. This reckless decision not only endangers marine life and ecosystems but also threatens our well-being. We urge you to join us in boycotting Japanese products until they stop releasing their contaminated water into the Pacific Ocean.

We are having nuclear-contaminated water dumped into our oceans right now. Please read that one more time and let it sink in...

Their release of radioactive waste shows a disregard for ocean health and the lives dependent on it worldwide. This not only could lead to severe damage to marine ecosystems but also an increase in radiation throughout the food chain.

Key Points:

  1. Experts from Greenpeace Japan warn that releasing such waste could contaminate fish stocks across the Pacific Ocean.
  2. Fallout from the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster continues to affect regions, according to the World Nuclear Association.
  3. Research from National Geographic highlights the dire impact of radiation on marine life.

While acknowledging Japan's nuclear waste challenges, releasing it into the oceans is an inadequate solution. We demand Japan to explore safer alternatives for storage and disposal.

By signing this appeal, we demand the Japanese government immediately halt releasing radioactive waste into the ocean. We commit to boycotting Japanese products until they show a genuine commitment to environmental safety and the well-being of future generations.

Let's unite our voices to pressure the Japanese government to stop this heinous act against our environment. Our planet's security is at stake, and it's our duty to protect it for ourselves and generations to come.

** DISCLAIMER ** A boycott does not mean you have to get rid of or sell any Japanese products that you already OWN, you just don't buy new ones.**
