The Issue

I have dedicated a large part of my life to rescuing animals from sad circumstances. It's heart-wrenching to know that while I'm working to save these innocent creatures, invasive testing is being conducted on animals at Nucro-Technics in Scarborough. This practice inflicts tremendous suffering on animals, causing both physical pain and psychological distress—the very situations and conditions I strive to rescue them from.

Every year, millions of animals are subjected to invasive testing in laboratories, where they endure painful procedures for the sake of scientific research. While research is vital to advancements in medicine and science, it is imperative that we prioritize humane methods that do not involve the suffering of animals. Numerous alternatives have been developed, such as in vitro testing, computer modeling, and the use of human cell cultures, which have been proven effective and reliable.

The ethical considerations surrounding animal testing cannot be ignored. Animals are sentient beings that experience fear, stress, and pain. Subjecting them to invasive testing is not only cruel but also outdated. It's time for Nucro-Technics to lead by example and shift towards more humane research practices, setting a precedent for other laboratories and research institutions across Canada and the world.

By signing this petition, you can help urge Nucro-Technics and regulatory authorities to eliminate invasive testing on animals and invest in alternative methods that are both humane and scientifically advanced. Let's stand together to protect the welfare of all animals and promote more ethical standards in research. Please sign this petition and help us make a difference.
