Stop internet scalping

The Issue

So-called scalpers have used armies of automated purchasing agents or "bots" to procure disproportionate numbers of RTX 3080 stock during NVIDIA's recent graphics card launch.  The scalpers raised prices by 50-300% or more in order to make substantial profits on the eBay, Amazon and other online marketplaces.  They are passing these inflated prices onto legitimate consumers who intend to use these cards for their primary purposes - playing games, supporting machine learning and performing scientific calculations.

This is just one example of the ways in which scalpers harm consumers globally. As consumers in the modern age, we cannot let this rampant abuse of automated technology interfere with our right to fair pricing.  If left unchecked, this issue could grow like a cancer and prevent people from getting other goods that they may depend on for survival.

For now, NVIDIA and their retail partners MUST implement "bot" mitigation technologies, such as the well known "captcha," and work with GOVERNMENT officials on the implementation of appropriate legal policies that'd criminalize this unethical behavior.
